Before: the scaries
After: Remodeler of the YearC3Before & after
In 2022 they bought a foreclosure in Selah and found termites, red tape and months of holding periods. An 11th hour decision put it in the 2023 Tour of Homes, and the remodel earned M.B. Designs the CWHBA 2023 Remodeler of the Year.
It was the first house in their affordable housing program: one young family a year, pre-qualified, putting in sweat equity on a remodeled home.

“We are pleased to share our remodeling experience with Abbey and the team at MB Design. Abbey was able to guide us from initial brain storming to finishing details. We started with our family home of 35 years and a slab of Tempest Blue quartzite that had been previously purchased for the kitchen island.”
“They coordinated everything for me & hired the most amazing companies to install everything. From start to (a much later) finish, they were there every step of the way. And now when we need repair work done, they stand behind their work too.”
“She and her team take the time to get to know you and your project. They take time and care with each and every detail and think about things that you may overlook.”
E5Recognition
“We couldn't do it without the trust we have been given by our clients and the incredibly talented professionals that make our vision a reality!”

“We aren't for everyone! We offer a mid to high end service and we take great pride in that service.”
G7How it starts
Remodel or new construction, it starts with your wish-list. Already have a builder? They work with many contractors, or M.B. Designs can be the General.
The new client questionnaire asks the questions that shape a budget: who all the decision-makers are, how long you plan to stay in the home, what matters most, and whether you already have a builder.
A studio appointment and a tour of the showroom with the designers and project managers. M.B. Designs offers a mid to high end service, so the first meeting is about whether you are a good fit.
Space and budget planning, AutoCAD plans and Chief Architect 3D renderings, so the room is settled before materials are ordered.
Flooring, slab countertops, tile, window treatments, fabrics and furniture, chosen with the samples in your hand. What isn't on the floor, they bring in.
Weekly team meetings and constant contact with the contractors. The designer spends time on site and works directly with the trades until the last detail is done.
