Highlights from the sessions ran from workflows to client planning to team management, with a spotlight on the issues holding builders and residential designers back, and on A.I. and how to bring it into design and construction.

Remodeler of the Year, in a first attempt at affordable housing
In 2022, M. Brewer Properties bought a foreclosure in Selah hoping to find a gem. What came with it was a whirlwind of surprises, termites, red tape, months of holding periods for attorneys and county permitting, and an 11th hour decision to enter the home in the 2023 Tour of Homes. The studio calls it an honor and MANY sleepless nights, with gratitude to the trades, inspectors and teammates (NOT termites!!!).

We made the cover
The CWHBA Homebuyer's Guide put M.B. Designs on its cover for the 2019 Tour of Homes in Yakima and Kittitas Counties. With Perry Tech Institute, in the first year students in every trade built a home to sell, the studio provided and installed the interior finishes and wrote specifications for the exterior finishes supplied by others. Furniture and accessories were featured too, and page 22 shows two of the studio's projects.

2019 Adventurer 50th Anniversary Camper
M.B. Designs partnered with Adventurer LP, a Canadian-based company that builds campers and RVs in the Yakima Valley. The studio says it felt more anxious designing these campers than multi-million dollar tour homes, because in mass production you have ONE shot to get it right for thousands. Truck Camper Magazine ran the article.
